Your reception speaks before anyone in your company does. Paras Interiors designs reception and lobby areas across Dubai that carry your brand through every detail, from the desk finish to the lettering on the wall behind it. Standalone refresh or part of a full office project, delivered under one fixed-price contract with one team accountable from concept to handover.
The Reception Does More Work Than Any Other Room in Your Office
Ten Seconds Before a Single Word
Nobody from your sales team staffs it. Your marketing department never scripts it. Yet a reception area tells a visitor more about your company in ten seconds than a brochure manages in ten pages. Scale, professionalism, attention to detail: all of it registers before a single word is exchanged.
That Cuts Both Ways
A cramped, dated, or anonymous lobby quietly undercuts everything the business does well, and a client who has just walked past three sharper receptions in the same tower will notice. A well-designed one does the opposite. It signals order, credibility, and intent, and it sets the tone for every meeting that follows.
A Brand Touchpoint Rather Than a Waiting Area
The desk, the seating, the wall behind it, the signage, and the way light lands across the floor are designed as one composition, so the room reinforces your identity instead of filling a floor plan. That is the difference between a lobby that looks furnished and one that looks intentional.
Why Dubai Businesses Choose Paras Interiors
Designing UAE Interiors Since 2016
We know how Dubai companies actually use reception space, from client-facing headquarters to shared entrances in multi-tenant towers where the lobby serves staff, visitors, and couriers at once.
One Accountable Team from Brief to Handover
Concept, 3D visualisation, material sourcing, joinery, and installation are managed in-house, so nothing falls into the gap between designer and contractor. Every programme is agreed in writing before work begins, tracked through to handover, and delivered on the agreed date.
A 5.0 Google Rating and 150+ Completed Projects
Our portfolio spans residential and commercial interiors, and we take on work throughout Dubai, business districts and free zones alike.
Bespoke Joinery and Signage Built to Your Brand
Reception desks and brand walls are designed to your palette and your materials, not picked from a generic supplier catalogue.
Our Reception and Lobby Design Process
- 01
Brief and Free Site Visit
We walk the space with you, measure it, review your brand guidelines, and watch how people move through the area: where visitors queue, where deliveries land, where the lift doors open, and what someone sees in the first second inside. Building management rules and landlord restrictions on the lobby are checked here rather than discovered halfway through installation.
- 02
Concept and 3D Visualisation
Your designer presents a concept board covering desk design, materials, seating, lighting, and signage, supported by 3D renders of the finished space. You approve the look before anything is ordered, so there is no gap between what you pictured and what arrives on site.
- 03
Procurement and Fit-Out
We source the materials, build the custom joinery, coordinate signage production, and manage installation ourselves. Where the office stays open through the works, we sequence the noisy activity around your operating hours, protect the adjoining areas, and keep the entrance usable throughout.
- 04
Styling and Handover
Final styling, a walkthrough with your designer, a snagging list closed out properly, and a support period afterwards for any adjustments. If your project is larger than a single space, our Corporate Office Design page sets out the full programme we run for whole-floor work.
What We Design Into a Reception Area
Reception Desk Design
The desk anchors the space. We design bespoke reception desks in your brand colours and finishes, working in engineered stone, natural stone, wood veneer, metal, solid surface, and backlit panels, and size them around your real footfall: a single host position for a boutique consultancy, a wider counter for a headquarters with continuous visitor traffic. Power, data, cable routing, and storage are built into the unit.
Visitor Seating
Waiting-area seating has to stay comfortable for a five-minute wait and survive daily commercial use, which rules out much of what looks appealing in a showroom. We select and lay out seating suited to your visitor volume without crowding the entrance, holding clear circulation between the door, the desk, and the lift.
Brand Wall and Signage
An illuminated logo wall, dimensional lettering, or a feature panel turns the blank surface behind the desk into the strongest brand statement in the building. We design signage that reads cleanly from the entrance doors, holds up under a camera for your own marketing photography, and expresses your palette in real materials rather than printed vinyl wherever the budget allows.
Wayfinding
In larger offices and shared buildings, clear wayfinding keeps visitors moving confidently instead of hesitating at the threshold. Directional signage, floor directories, lift-lobby cues, and meeting room identification are designed as one set, in the reception’s own visual language, so the walk from front door to boardroom never needs a phone call.
Lighting and Materials for High-Visibility Spaces
A reception absorbs more foot traffic and more scrutiny than almost any other part of an office, and the specification has to answer both.
Layer the Lighting
We layer the lighting rather than hanging one ceiling fixture and hoping for the best: ambient light for general visibility, accent light aimed at the brand wall, and task light at the desk so the person greeting visitors is lit properly rather than silhouetted against a bright window. That layering separates a lobby that feels considered from one that feels clinical.
Colour Temperature and Dimming
Colour temperature flatters your finishes and your people, and dimming is set so the space reads well at 8am and again at 7pm.
Materials That Stay Sharp Under Constant Contact
We favour surfaces that stay sharp under constant contact: engineered stone and quartz for desks and counters, commercial-grade flooring rated for heavy traffic, wall protection where trolleys and luggage pass, and acoustic treatment wherever the lobby doubles as an informal meeting space. Every material is specified for the daily wear of a working office, not only for how it photographs in a render.
Standalone Reception Fit-Out, or Part of a Full Office Project?
We design reception areas both ways, and it is worth knowing which route fits your situation before you brief anyone.
As a Standalone Project
A standalone fit-out works when the rest of the office functions perfectly well but the entrance no longer represents the brand, common after a rebrand, a lease renewal, or years of wear. We scope, design, and deliver the reception on its own, with minimal disruption elsewhere and the loudest work scheduled outside business hours where the building allows it.
As Part of a Wider Office Project
Bundling the reception into a larger programme makes more sense when you are relocating, expanding, or overhauling a full floor. The reception is then developed alongside the workstations, meeting rooms, and breakout areas, so the brand language holds from the lift doors to the boardroom table. If a broader refresh is on the table, start with our Corporate Office Design page, or our Meeting and Conference Room Design page if boardrooms are in scope.

Reception Area Interior Design Dubai, Frequently Asked Questions
The cost depends on the size and construction of the desk, the material specification, and whether bespoke joinery, illuminated signage, or a feature brand wall are in scope. A compact desk in a laminate finish sits at a very different level from a stone-clad counter with a backlit brand wall. Rather than publish a headline rate that rarely survives a real brief, we quote after a free site visit: a fixed figure covering design, materials, joinery, signage, and installation, itemised and locked before work begins.
Most standalone reception and lobby projects take 3 to 6 weeks from design approval to handover, depending on the complexity of the joinery and signage and on any building management approvals the tower requires. When the reception forms part of a larger office project, it is programmed into the overall fit-out schedule instead. Every timeline is set in writing before we mobilise.
Yes. A reception refresh can be scoped and delivered as a standalone project, independent of any wider office works. We sequence the disruptive activity around your operating hours, keep the entrance usable through the works, and protect the adjoining areas. Many clients start with the reception and expand into a full office redesign later.
Yes. We design and build bespoke reception desks matched to your brand materials and colours rather than selecting from a catalogue. Engineered stone, natural stone, wood veneer, metal, solid surface, and backlit panels are all available, and the desk is sized around your footfall and staffing. Power, data, cable routing, screen positions, and storage are designed into the unit.
Yes. You are assigned a dedicated designer from brief to handover who stays your single point of contact, including on smaller-scope work such as a standalone reception fit-out. The same team handles concept, 3D visualisation, procurement, joinery, and installation.
Redesigning Your Whole Office?
Reception is often where a bigger project starts. If the entrance is the first item on a longer list, our Corporate Office Design service covers open-plan workstations, private offices, and breakout zones, and our Meeting and Conference Room Design service covers boardrooms, huddle rooms, and training spaces. Both sit under our wider Office Interior Design practice.
