01, The Brief
Two goals, one space
Jewellery retail is one of the most demanding categories in commercial interior design, every decision has to serve two goals at once: make the product look irresistible, and make the space feel secure. BAFLEH Jewellery came to Paras Interiors with a showroom space inside Sapphire Mall that needed to do both, while standing out in a mall environment where shoppers walk past dozens of competing storefronts.
The brief was straightforward to state and difficult to deliver: a showroom that felt premium and inviting from the outside, organised and easy to navigate inside, and built around display and security requirements that protect high-value stock without making the space feel like a vault.
02, Our Approach
Display logic first, finishes second
We started with the display logic before touching finishes. Jewellery showrooms succeed or fail on how product is presented, so we mapped out display zones by category and price point first bridal and statement pieces given prominent, well-lit positions near the entrance, with everyday and gifting pieces arranged for easy browsing further inside
Lighting carried most of the design weight in this project. We used a layered lighting plan, focused display lighting inside each case to make stones and metalwork catch the eye, paired with warmer ambient lighting across the floor so the space feels welcoming rather than clinical.
Display
Custom-specified cases with integrated security fittings, finished in brass and warm-toned metal accents, glass, and stone, luxurious materials that don’t draw attention to the security built into them.
Lighting
Layered lighting plan: focused case lighting to make product catch the eye, paired with warm ambient floor lighting for a welcoming, non-clinical feel.
Security
Reinforced display units, considered staff sightlines, and discreet camera and alarm integration, built into the design from the start, not added afterward.
A showroom that puts the product first
The finished showroom gives BAFLEH Jewellery a space that competes with the best storefronts in Sapphire Mall, bright, organised, and built to put the product first. Customers can browse comfortably across price points, staff have clear sightlines across the floor, and the display infrastructure protects the inventory without the showroom ever feeling guarded.
